Have you ever felt stuck in your life?

Have you ever thought to yourself that it’s too late to change?

What, if anything, have you given up on in your life?

Take a few minutes now to recognize if ever experienced a moment in time when you felt that your life “it what it is.” You perhaps felt there is nothing you can do about it other than to accept it as such.

This quote by Pema Chodron is a great reminder that just because something didn’t go your way or perhaps you are not where you thought you’d be in life, it doesn’t mean life is over. People sometimes become caught up in this false belief that because their life experience isn’t what they expected it to be that nothing can be done about it now. They accept their current life experience as this is all it is supposed to be.

Does that resonate with you?

Yes, it is important to accept your reality as it is. However, if you are unhappy with it, you also have the ability to do something about it. Consider for a second that every day provides you with an opportunity to create a new experience.

However, in order to make that happen you have to begin changing your approach. Everything you’ve done up until now has gotten you to where you are right now. That’s ok because guess what? It’s never too late to make a change.

If you are reading this right now that means you are alive… and if you are alive then you can take action.

For anyone who says, “I’m too old” or “It’s too late” I say bullshit!

To me, that is choosing to give up. That is choosing to give away your personal power to the external world around you. That is telling me that you really don’t want anything different.

A person will not change until their desire to change becomes greater than their desire to stay the same no matter how old they are or where they are in their lives.

What happened yesterday is over and what will happen tomorrow is unknowable. However, the decisions you make and the actions you take today will affect tomorrow. Every day is a fresh start if you want it to be.

So what will it be? You get to choose.

Now it’s your turn.

How does this quote inspire you?

Tell me about an experience where you felt stuck in your life. Where perhaps you were unhappy and you simply accepted the fact that this is how it will always be. Are you still feeling that way now? Or have you realized that you have the power to change your life experience?
